PLASTIC SURGERY

NOSE SURGERY (RHINOPLASTY)

The shape of the nose, the foremost organ of the face, is the key factor for the overall beauty and character of the face. A subtle deformity in the nose can easily be noticed. Even a small alteration in the shape of the nose can improve the whole appearance of the face.

Nose surgery (rhinoplasty) is designed to increase the harmony between the face and the nose by changing the structure of the bones and cartilages, and by reshaping the tip of the nose. One or all of these changes can be performed in a single operation. Rhinoplasty also helps to eliminate respiratory problems. What should be aimed for is not only an ideal nose, but also a nose that is in harmony with the other features of the face.

The skin type, racial characteristics and age should be taken into account when planning nose surgery. Before rhinoplasty, the existence of any functional problems like difficulty in breathing should be checked. Additional procedures such as chin fillers can be planned for a better facial appearance.

Rhinoplasty techniques

Rhinoplasty operations can be performed either by open or by closed techniques. Both methods have their own advantages. Generally, for minimal changes in the nose, the closed technique is preferred. If there will be radical changes, then the open method is a better way.

Open Rhinoplasty

Deformities in the nasal septum that cause breathing problems can easily be managed by the open rhinoplasty method. An incision is made in the area between the nostrils. Even if you have open surgery, there will be no visible scars on your face. There may be partial swelling, but this is not because the surgery is open, but because radical changes have occurred in your nose.

 Open Rhinoplasty

Closed Rhinoplasty

In the closed rhinoplasty technique, no external intervention is performed. All changes are made by entering through the nostrils. After closed rhinoplasty, there is absolutely no scar on the face.

 Closed Rhinoplasty

What is ultrasonic rhinoplasty?

Nowadays, motor systems are preferably used for breaking the nasal bones instead of   hammers and cutters. This new technique is called “Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty”. The cutting and shaping of the nasal bones are carried out by a set of very thin pen-like tools under direct observation, without damaging the soft tissues. As a result, the nose looks more elegant and natural. Almost all patients are suitable candidates for ultrasonic rhinoplasty.

TIP PLASTY

When deformity is only to the tip of the nose and its cartilages, the type of operation performed is called ‘Tip Plasty’.  Tip plasty is an appropriate procedure for those who do not have a problem with the nasal bone but are only bothered by the width or drooping of the nasal tip.

BREAST AESTHETICS

BREAST AUGMENTATION

Do you need breast implant?

Breasts are one of the first things that comes to mind when we think of women’s beauty. Your breasts may not be the size you desire after puberty, or they may be asymmetrical. With weight loss, breastfeeding and advancing age, breast tissue is lost and its shape may have changed. In all of these situations, breast implants and augmentation surgeries can correct the shape and size of your breasts and achieve a more harmonious body figure.

Before surgery, the choice of implant to be used is decided together with the patient, taking into consideration their breast structure, breast cage and soft tissue thickness.

BREAST REDUCTION

Some women have structurally large breasts. Even medium-sized breasts may become larger after weight gain and pregnancy.

Do you need breast reduction?

Large breasts can often result in health issues and physical discomfort like back and neck pain, even neck hernia . Your daily life may be restricted due to large and heavy breasts. Skin problems may crop up, such as a rash under the breasts. To get rid of all these problems, large breasts can be reduced by surgery and a more comfortable life can be restored. The purpose of breast reduction surgery is to enhance breast shape and restore symmetry that is proportional to the body.

BREAST LIFTING SURGERY

Breast sagging is an important aesthetic problem, causing loss of self-esteem in women. If you have sagging, but adequately sized breasts, if your breasts have lost their volume and fullness, if your nipples are looking downwards or your nipples are below the level of the nipple groove, you will benefit from breast lifting surgeries. In addition, even women who are satisfied with the size of their breasts may request breast lifting surgery to get firmer breasts. Some women have both sagging and volume loss in their breasts. In these cases, breast implants can also be applied to increase fullness during breast lifting surgery.

EAR AESTHETICS

PROMINENT EAR SURGERY

Unlike the other organs on our face, the ears are visible from the front, sides and back. Another feature that makes prominent ear deformity important is that it is present in childhood. Prominent ear surgery (otoplasty) can be performed after the completion of the ear development in children. Therefore, the lower age limit for these surgeries is 6 years old. General anesthesia is often preferred in children for these operations whereas in adults local anesthesia is used.

EAR REDUCTION SURGERY

Another type of ear aesthetic operation is ear reduction. The aim of this procedure is to decrease the size of the ear and standardise the shape so that it no longer attracts notice.

EYELID AESTHETICS

As we age, the upper eyelids lose their elasticity and sag; lower eyelids begin to collapse over time. These changes in the eyelids give the person a tired and old expression. Eyelid surgeries are procedures that remove these deformations and give vitality and youth to the facial expression.

There is no particularly preferred season for eyelid surgeries. The important thing is that your eyes are not exposed to direct sunlight after surgery. Regular sunglasses are a must after these operations.

LIPOSUCTION

Liposuction is the ideal method for body shaping and regional thinning. With liposuction, resistant fat tissues that do not respond to diet and other slimming methods are removed from certain parts of the body such as the abdomen, thighs, hips, legs, knees, waist, back region, ankles, arms and under the chin. As a result, your body contours are better shaped.

There is no age limit for liposuction. However, while the effects of liposuction are more prominent in skins that have not lost their elasticity, operations such as skin stretching may also be required to obtain the desired effect after liposuction.

Liposuction sites

Liposuction is not recommended for people who have diabetes, severe heart, lung or circulation problems, or who have recently undergone another surgical intervention in the area where the liposuction will be performed.

Since the fat cells in the body are permanently removed by liposuction, with the correct technique, the result is permanent. Even if weight is gained afterwards, there will be no further lumps and bulges in the operation area again.

There is no harm in combining liposuction with different operations. Liposuction can be performed in all seasons. However, wearing a corset after surgery may be uncomfortable for patients who have to be outside in extremely hot weather.

TUMMY TUCK/ ABDOMINOPLASTY

Abdominal tissue is one of the areas where fat storage is evident in both men and women. People with loose skin and fat in the abdominal area benefit from aesthetic tummy tuck surgery. One of the most important elements of tummy tuck surgery is to tighten the weakened abdominal muscles. This surgery will straighten your body contours and provide you with a taut and flat stomach. In addition, stretch marks following pregnancy under the navel can also be removed with this surgery.

Planning for tummuy tuck

In patients with fat accumulation on the sides of the abdominal wall, that is, in the waist region, it may be necessary to apply liposuction to both sides in addition to tummy tuck.  The aim here is to provide a proportional and attractive waist/tummy harmony in addition to achieving a flat abdominal wall.
